Rollohi-ch507-script

Last episode on Rollohi we engaged in intense combat and we saw the end of the Orvath brothers. Today we are picking up with Ingle doing some healing. Combat is clearly over. Two prisoners are bound tightly and under guard. Bodies are still being arranged. In the background there is discussion already as to what next to do. Elsewhere, a certain greedy halfling female is double checking that all purses have been accounted for, and all possible places for hidden wealth have been closely examined. Eryn, who has not been injured in the fight, or at least nothing worth mentioning, and who triumphed over the knight leading the brigands herself, is discussing horseflesh with Kylie, another who was not injured. Cied herself is not directly supervising the looting because her husband Pod is fussing over her still. She has finished the process of having an arrow removed from her body and has grumpily discovered that Ingle's staff of healing has not done a great deal on her. Pod himself wa...

Rollohi-ch506-script

Welcome back to Rollohi, and welcome back to the ongoing assault into the chasm attempt number one against the fierce halflings!  The company descends, finding the approaches well defended by organized defenders who fire from thick loopholes in the wall, making them incredibly hard to retaliate to. However, the attackers, the company, has made good preparation and takes no permanent casualty, although several are hurt. Hilu, the halfling, probably the worst of those, taking green slime as well as a crossbow bolt. Although Dorgan, suffering from some poison and crossbow bolts, is also hard hit. Both of those have now been healed by Ingle. The company first dabbed off to the east and then to the west, finding neither a perfect approach. The west and south does seem to offer a door, but discouraged by the presence of suspicious amounts of water proceeding under it, the company now retreats again and tries back to its original direction, the east, and to a nook where quantities...

Rollohi-ch505-script

Welcome back into the world of Rollohi, where our adventuring party and their retainers all: are now descended into the chasm. The pavises have been made, the coracles have been fashioned, using fresh skinned boar hide for the halflings to ride in. For, according to Jack's report, the flood is roughly chin deep for a dwarf, far too deep for a halfling. They assemble in an area just beyond the massive roar of the waterfall itself. Here it seems that much of the watercourse spills away elsewhere underground, and what remains is a rather swollen stream rather than river.  They can talk over the noise, but care must be maintained so as not to alert any guards further downstream. Ingle has a number of points to address, and he gathers the spearmen, now each with their long spear point down, acting as the central spine of a pavise and with a cresset light attached to the spear butt, and the archers and crossbowmen, some of them grinning with eagerness or nervousness, some of them openly ...
