Rollohi-ch504-script

Welcome back to Rollohi, where our heroes have saved the town. Small village, really, from consecutive assaults of ogres, and then orcs led in some way, shape, or form by a female ogre.  Before we get going on this episode, I'd like to make a little point, if I may, and that is that given the amount of stuff that I had to work through to get this episode recorded, I made the decision not to go into detailed mechanics. I mention a few oracles here and there, but as for behind-the-scenes roles and crap, I've skipped all that. If you feel that you would like to hear more about how I organise the game and what goes on behind the scenes, or how the sausage gets made, if you like, let me know. This episode will deal with about a week of events in and south of that village.  As the company progresses its plans such as they are, adapts them on getting new information, and is able to ascertain a very specific objective. If you recall the events at the end of last episode, you'l...

Come on, Ingle. Get up! [Ingle is having a nightmare. Umbert wakes him] In truth, the village is under attack, but it's not as bad as Ingle's dream has conveyed to him. That was merely a warning sent by his particular deity, the Divine Eye, should things be left to go untendered. In fact, Xantu, Dorgan, and the fellow they are thinking of now as the best archer, Seni, were on watch at the central Balefire. As an ogre-like shape rushes into the village with unnatural speed, Xantu tosses dry faggots onto the Balefire and it flames up. Behind the ogre, the dwarves can just glimpse at least half a dozen more smaller humanoids, eyes flaring with that particular glint that nocturnal creatures have. With a hearty bellow of Stand To! Invasion! Xantu rallies the defense.  However, nor is the situation ideal. The adventurers have each been allotted quarters and they're not together. The grateful villagers competed with one another to offer hospitality, and so Eryn and the other woman...

Rollohi-ch502-script

Last episode, season five of Rollahi began with a successful landing at north of the lake in an overly complicated plan for the company, numbering eight adventurous and twenty retainers, plus mounts, to start at the north of the lake, secure the road north, work its way all the way round, check out the southwest, and somehow also approach New Jay from the southeast. I'm sure that will work out splendidly. We followed the settling of a small rearguard, nowhere near enough to defend the perimeter of the fortification, at the abandoned buccaneer fort north of the lake, and traveled with our main company half a day east to the road. There, a small village is under attack by something that sounds giantish, and will rejoin our scouting force at that point. With a few whispers, these scouts debate their moral code. But luckily for our company, these are no shining paladins. Jack is a thief, Cied, a ruthless, greedy little lawful halfling, and Pod a cowardly little lawful halfling. They...

Rollohi-ch501-script

It is the night of the sixteenth day of the first month of spring when a small flotilla approaches the hopefully abandoned buccaneer quarters in the north of the lake. By its position towards the western horizon, the full moon indicates that they are on the last watch before dawn, a time when sentries will be asleep or at least lollygagging at their post, and where subtle scouts can creep in safely. At least that's how the young scout Lem Orvath is thinking. He and his brother have managed to wangle themselves a position in the forward boat, which is under the command of the experienced adventurers Kylie the Elf and Jack the Thief. Lem's brother Seni is the more accomplished of the pair. Several years older, much more proficient with a bow. Lem has had to settle for being signed on as humble light foot. Lem watches his brother Seni fidget, but that's his habit. He'll be settled if it comes the time for action. The other three retainers in the boat are the mysterious ...
