8.1 Viper country

Since the party plans to traverse the exact path, using known landmarks, their travel no longer counts as 'wilds' but 'trail'. Or does it? There's a 2 in 6 chance of getting lost normally, but if the trail they cut a week back is clear, that's 1 in 6.

Is the trail still clear? No and... it could even be misleading.

Weather: no change from the prevailing hot dry wind, but a return to light rain is likely.

Moon: it's now new moon day2.

Chance of forage: no and... game has retreated.

Navigation, do they lose the trail, yes and do not realize it until much later.

5 mules led back to a horse each.

If everyone makes an advantage ride check they will easily retreat.

All characters manage easily. Kylie mounts. They collect or already have CiedPod. Their move is 40.

But Ajiwe and Ygyourn fail. They only manage to turn.

Round 2: vipers move 30 and make 16 d4 disadvant attacks on mules.Three mules perish! One mule makes a SV so only 2 actually die.

Ajiwe and Ygyourn have to leap and run making a 2 and 1, spectacular success!

All characters escape and Ajiwe and Ygyourn scramble with them. Dead behind them are two mules and two horses and 40% of Ajiwe's establishment.
