No encounter (but there is night life/scavengers at the bodies)   10.2 visitors after three days Dawn Weather Nowhere near as good, also strong winds Moon a fat half, waxing No real chance of getting lost, they are inside the hunting preserve of the vicomte. The patrols do (eventually) spot them and ride out.  Safety! But the bodies of the dead are lying out a league away, there was no way to bring them back. 600 ...

9.1 Thoughts of a base This marks the month payday, which is in fact overdue by a few days. Ajiwe pays 30 gold to the party, but asks them to hire on as trail guards to get laborers back once the works are completed here. The party discusses it. They would like to negotiate a base for themselves, they can picture Ajiwe charging them rent. They elect Umbert spokesperson for dealing with this. Umbert cha nat 1 int 09 Ajiwe cha 04 int advantage 09 The party get a deal drawn up. The terms aRe good acknowledges that Ajiwe could not have gained hidden springs if not for the paity. Build work 9 man-days. That releases 5 of the party to forage and scout the area around hidden springs esp the plateau. Do they scout the plateau no but map paths up. A rough path of steps, to make it safer.   Height 120' at this end. Number of stops needed 1 at midway. Number of man-days to defend that, six.   Meanwhile the laborers finish rough plastering all the rooms...

8.1 Viper country Since the party plans to traverse the exact path, using known landmarks, their travel no longer counts as 'wilds' but 'trail'. Or does it? There's a 2 in 6 chance of getting lost normally, but if the trail they cut a week back is clear, that's 1 in 6. Is the trail still clear? No and... it could even be misleading. Weather: no change from the prevailing hot dry wind, but a return to light rain is likely. Moon: it's now new moon day2. Chance of forage: no and... game has retreated. Navigation, do they lose the trail, yes and do not realize it until much later. Watch...2 Encounter: do they encounter? 5 yes. D8/d12 on 'woods' 1_9 pit viper. Arboreal yes, #d8, 8! Are they swarming? Yes and... more will join. Attitude 4, hostile Range. This is an odd one. Snakes swarming are fairly visible. Shall it be left to how aware the party is? No but the scouts get a chance. 1-3 Kylie, 456 CiedPod. Kylie Always gain i...

7.1 Tail of the Manticore /_/ Ajiwe can either march south to Fort Stoutheart and use his landmarks, or strike out for the plateau east and navigate south once he gets there More info. Is the west face of the plateau forbidding (6) or unnoticeable(1). It's a 1. Is Ajiwe aware of that? Yes and would not attempt it. So it's south? Yes and... intends to try to recruit a driver using that station. Weather; high winds, dry and clear. The moon is two days from new. Barely visible.
